Landscape

This landscape unit engages with the ground through the design capacity to analyze surface, systems, and sections. The study of Surface is of the terrain - its morphology and material and tectonic characteristics. The term system is characterized by the connection from natural to the constructed. Section concerns the ground-status as essential to developing an architectural space.

Analysis and development of terrain form and landscape-related systems.

Develop landform and system configurations in response to a range of potential motivating factors.

Employ the terrain and landscape-system frameworks into a bounded site - a quarry along Interstate 481 in Syracuse, NY.

My project is about using the structural and primarily visual logic of faceting to explore how a system reacts to an interjection of objects. In my case, these objects are terraced landscape and occupiable spaces, or volumes for interior occupation.
